The staff of the Center for Environmental Quality Water Quality and Giardia Testing Laboratories have a combined experience of over 55 years in the fields of chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, geology, hydrology, well construction, water quality testing, and water quality monitoring programs. Through the Technology Transfer Program (TTP), the laboratory and staff have been involved in projects concerning public utilities, individual/community water supplies, water treatment systems, lake/watershed assessments, acid rain deposition, and mine drainage.
Another quality in which the Center for Environmental Quality prides itself is in its work study program. Through the use of this program, high caliber students from Wilkes University are chosen to work on a variety of projects. All projects are overseen by professional laboratory staff. By allowing students to gain hands-on experience they are able to obtain a higher level of training which increases their prospects of receiving a professional career once they leave the university environment.
Below are links to a partial listing of clients and projects with whom the Center for Environmental Quality at Wilkes University has worked with in the past. As you will see the Center for Environmental Quality has worked with a wide spectrum of individuals ranging from small municipalities to large corporations.
