Homework Assignment #1
First Assessment – Develop a Personal Library of pdf files
and other documents related to soil science and the application of soil science
and provide a listing of potential careers or applications of soil science. (15
% of grade)Due Date - 2/16/2006
Homework Assignment #2
Second Assessment – Pick one soil property or application and describe in
detail, such as soil texture, consistency, color, structure, “land-based
disposal of wastewater” etc. You can use soil samples in the rock laboratory as
examples or images to aid in description. (15 % of grade)
Due Date - NEW Deadline - March 20, 2006
Field Trip - April 13, 2006 - meet at 9:00 am at SLC 447 (bring a bag lunch).
