The Center for Environmental Quality at Wilkes University operates and maintains a series of state-of-the-art water quality testing laboratories. The facility, a non-profit/ equal opportunity employer, is operated and managed, within the School of Sciences and Engineering under the auspices of the Center for Environmental Quality. Currently, the laboratory is PADEP approved /EPA registered.   PADEP approval is for bacterial testing of regulated water supplies.   Wilkes University also provides testing for Giardia, Cryptosporidium, MPA - microscopic particulate analysis, MET - Microscopic Evaluation Technique, GWUDI - Groundwater Under the Direct Influence, and SWIP - Surface Water Identification Protocol as Part of evaluating a pilot filtration plant or a groundwater source.
